UL 1598- 5th edition
UL has issued a fifth edition for UL 1598. Some of the changes include the use of UL 2043, Standard for Safety Fire Test for Heat and Visible Smoke Release for Discrete Products and Their Accessories Installed in Air- Handling Spaces. This test may be used to validate your polymeric enclosure for use in plenum spaces.
UL 1598 also added requirements for the use of light-emitting plasma light source, Dielectric Voltage Withstand Test updates, changes to the risk of fire definition to align with UL 8750, luminaires suitable for use in clothes closet storage spaces, the inclusion of wiring instructions on the OEMs website and more…

UL 8750 was updated 4/28/2020 to fix a typo in Table 7.6 and to add an exception to Separation of Circuits of Wired Control Circuits described in Supplement SF. The exception allows Class 2, or equivalent, circuits. The Instructions shall also include a recommendation from the manufacturer to assure a cumulative leakage current of less than 3.5mA on the control circuit.
